Should these West African children be working or going to school?

In the village of Agboville, Côte d’Ivoire, children who have never gone to school want to learn to read and write.

Those who have had to drop out want to learn a trade so they can get better jobs.

Kids who have attended school are hungry to learn.
In each country, Winrock International works with partners that can make a difference - like Ministries of Education – to improve educational systems so all children can go to school and learn the basics: reading, writing and math. Vocational skills are important too – good farming, agroforestry, and bike repair that provide immediate benefits to individuals and their communities.

The World Cocoa Foundation is a partner in preventing child labor in Côte d’Ivoire and Mali through support of community schools and vocational programs. This support is giving more children an opportunity for education and a better life. Click here to give and help more children.
