Since 2000, Darna has opened a training center to offer compensatory and professional training to children who are no longer in school and often on the streets. In 2001, Darna coupled this activity with the opening of a hostel to accommodate children who no longer have ties with their families, in order to offer them security, training and an opportunity to return to their families. Darna has developed a series of projects for the disadvantaged, which include a "Community House for Women" for girls 13 and above and a listening and counseling center. Description of Project funded by CIRCLE: The Pedagogical Farm for Youth project aims at fighting against child labor by encouraging literacy and professional training for agricultural type jobs adapted to the rural area, as well as a professional and family reintegration. In general, the project will provide health and social prevention actions for 36 youth in a situation of economic and social exclusion, who are doing menial jobs in the streets of Tangier.
